Dear Mama-preneur or Papa-preneur
You are Enough but You are Not for Everyone!
You are not for everyone and 𝙸 𝚊𝚖 certainly 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢𝚘𝚗𝚎. But, I used to try to be.
I remember at one point in my life when I would inflate and shrink myself just to fit in, but at the end of the day, I would feel rubbish. Not only did I continue to not fit in, but, I also found out the more I did that, the more I felt less than. I felt incomplete (NOT ENOUGH).
Naturally, I am a very quirky person. However, to fit in I would find myself trying to be more of everything and less of ME!!
-to be less quirky, yet also sometimes less serious/intense
-to show up less powerfully with what I have to offer
-to be more energetic, extroverted, & “bubbly”
-to create content about things my heart/passion/skill set weren’t in alignment with
-to seem less spiritual at some point for brand partnerships opportunities
But trying to be all things to all people, to chameleon your way through life & business, my friend….is effing exhausting. You can’t be all things to all men. I’ve tried it, but it’s spiritually draining. Importantly, it’s not YOU.
I have learnt to accept my strength’s and limitations and become content knowing I am not for everyone.
I know what I do & do not bring to the table. #ownit
This SO critically applies to marketing, building a customer base, and especially building (and KEEPING) a team… How can you expect anyone to “know, like & trust” you if you don’t know, like & trust YOURSELF enough to show up REAL, authentic, and unapologetically 100% ?? Maybe you can relate to shrinking or inflating yourself to meet who you think you need to be to be “enough” or not “too much”? To be attractive. To be worthy of something… Let’s kick down that barrier right #NOW
Today make a decision to accept that:
You are not for everyone.
You are not enough for some.
You are too much for others.
But you are exactly who some NEED.
You were created to make the impact and be in relationships in the way only you can.
Did you know that there are people out there – whether they’re in your life or business yet, or not – who will think you’re a MORE THAN acceptable, AWESOME human being just the way you are?? And that they’ll want to do life/business with you because of you showing up more and more fully as YOU, than by trying to be someone else?
As for those who don’t appreciate what you bring to the table and constantly try to change you or compare you to everyone else, let them be and continue doing life as you.
