Chapter 2 of 12 In the Year 2019

Hi Mumpreneurs,

First and foremost, welcome to all the new subscribers, I hope you enjoy your time here. I’ve just seen the shift in subscribers and I am wowed.

Sorry for the silence. I have been bugged out with never-ending flu-cold for the past couple weeks, but I am on the mend now. I’m sorry I have not been able to hold some appointments with a few of you, however, I am back. As some of you may be aware, right at the end of last year, I found out I was nominated for a GAB award at the Hilton Canary Wharf in London, I am happy to announce that I won the Business category. Something even more amazing happened not long after the GAB awards news, I found out I was nominated and shortlisted a finalist as one of the Most Influential Young Upcoming Female Africans in Business at the renown African Youth Awards. I was humbled to even be considered for such a prestigious award alongside, some of those amazing girls! Wow, what an honour.

So, why am I sharing all this? Well, because when I started my entrepreneurial journey, It wasn’t easy at all (still isn’t at times, although it does get easier). In the eyes of the world, I was probably considered a failure. There were days entrepreneurship felt miserably and I would almost start second guessing myself. The good news however is, I learned a lot from the mistakes I made and did not give up (I had no choice but to persevere, due to my health, lol)

Fast-forward a few years to 2018-19, I have sat in boardrooms with amazing people, written a book, been nominated for all these amazing awards and spoken at events that I sometimes have to pinch myself. I was even featured on Texas based Author and Publisher Extraordinaire, Darren Palmer.  So, what am I saying? People often ask,

“Micah, how did you figure all this entrepreneurial things out?”

The honest truth is, it hasn’t always been easy. Everyday is a learning day for me. However, because of my dedication and consistency I have been able to unlock secrets that many within the lines of this field hide. That’s why I’ve compiled some of those best kept secrets into my book Idea to Income  I want to offer new mumpreneurs a somewhat easier ride, so they could avoid all the stress, overwhelm, and tears, and enjoy a faster path to becoming a sought-after mumpreneur.
P.s The Mumpreneur Meet Up Workshop is returning this year in April. This will be your chance to mingle with other mumpreneurs, get some inspiration, network, learn and grow your start-up. More details to soon follow.
