BRANDING AND REVENUE – PART ONE

One thing I have learnt in my journey to building a trustworthy brand is that when you create excellent connections at some point you’re going to want to leverage the connections you create. And if you’ve built up enough trust with your followers, they’ll be more than willing to check out your recommendations and the links you share and that is exactly how I started to make my money.

Are you still in denial? Well, simply ask the clients of social media management platform Captiv8 who have more than 7 million followers on YouTube and take home on average $300,000 per brand campaign, the company said. Twitter campaigns from such people — one tweet or many are worth on average $60,000.

My own experience with my business is along the lines of Ad space/campaigns on my social media project cost between $150 to $7,500. Even if lets says I have 12 customers for the whole year on the higher spectrum of ad revenue that is just about 90k in ads alone. Now like I said when you build a trustworthy brand, people are likely to buy from you or even listen to your voice as far as recommendations are concerned. So let’s say if you are selling merchandise at $25 per customer and you have 1000 sales every month from your 1.2 million email subscribers that is 25k every month and in a year that is 300k plus the 90k in ad revenue alone.

That is the power of social media but most importantly building a trustworthy brand.
